Our Story

Souvenir School came to be during my journey studying social innovation at Amani Institute’s Post-Graduate Certificate Program. We focus on Social Enterprises*, a growing market trend with one-third of start-ups globally having social good as their core mission. However, a phenomenon which will force many social enterprises to remain small (Malpani, 2019). Many social businesses will have trouble scaling with an inability to reduce their price and compete with the increase of large businesses entering the social sector.

Souvenir School’s work aims to connect tourists and locals to social businesses to not only keep them around, but to spread knowledge of who social enterprises are, what makes them sustainable & impactful, and uniquely, how individuals can give back diversely.
